The LCCM
College Guidance Center
has conducted a seminar-workshop entitled “Psychology of the Interview” held at the Mother Consuelo Barcelo Auditorium
last December 06, 2006.
Mr. Renie
Gade, the founder of The School for Mind Expansion, was invited as a resource speaker, to share his knowledge and expertise
to equip the students with the desirable characteristics of a job applicant. He
also provides tips and lessons to remember on how to become a sought-after applicant for the student’s future job applications. Mr. Gade shared different techniques on how to answer frequently-asked interview
questions in a competitive way. Related questions about the topic were entertained by the speaker during the open forum.
This activity,
proposed and prepared by Ms. Jaclyn Joyce G. Domingo, 4th year counselor, was intended primarily for the graduating
students to help them handle their feelings before and during a job interview. This
whole day seminar aims to provide an overview of what to expect in the job interview, as well as to expose the students to
the interview process. Since this is a learning session for our students, students
from other year levels were also invited to help them gain self-confidence and improve their communication skills.
This seminar-workshop was designed to further develop and improve the competitiveness of LCCians in different interview
situations, as well as to increase the opportunity to be employed in their field of interests.
This workshop was made possible with the assistance of Dean Rodolfo S.M. Garcia, Dean of Student Affairs, and the School
Deans, especially Dean Ruby Senatin, School of Arts
and Sciences and Dean Farida Brillantes, School of Nursing, who had went out to personally invite their students to join us. Faculty members from the said departments also graced the said activity.
